Neumann W492 EQ PCB with optional gain-range mod
A clone of the Neumann W492 equalizer. It is a replica of the PCB grinders design and layout.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT IN OUR VERSION
- The pot footprint is changed to a cheaper pot (Mouser part 858-P092NFC15BR10K).
- The pot positions are corrected to match the original layout (see photo).
- Optional gain-range mod: it splits each band's 15 dB gain range to 7.5 dB, for finer adjustment.
GAIN-RANGE MOD (OPTIONAL)
For the mod you need 4 extra SPDT toggle switches and a few resistors. The layout is in the project documents. You do not need the mod for a standard build.
